The development spans a waterfront eco-tourism area featuring visitor facilities, retail outlets, a jetty, landscaped public spaces, and heritage attractions. The signage brief covered the full site — from the prominent waterfront landmark structure visible from the river, through the vehicle entrance gateway, across the visitor facilities building, and into the individual retail units within the development.

Waterfront Landmark Lettering — 3D Aluminium Box-Up, Gold Finish
The most visually prominent element of the project is the “KAMPUNG SUNGAI MELAYU” lettering mounted on the circular waterfront pavilion structure built over the river. The letters are fabricated in 3D aluminium box-up with a warm gold finish — complementing the brown and bronze material palette of the pavilion’s architectural structure. Positioned at water level and visible from the surrounding riverfront, this landmark sign functions as both the site’s primary identifier and a photography focal point for visitors arriving by boat or approaching along the riverbank.

Entrance Gateway Lettering — Stainless Steel
At the vehicle entrance to the village, A&T installed full-width stainless steel lettering spelling “SELAMAT DATANG KE KG. SG. MELAYU” across the underside of the entrance archway. The stainless steel finish reads clearly against the architectural arch structure and is consistent with the premium material specification used throughout the development. The installation required elevated access to position and fix the individual letters across the full span of the gateway structure.

Directional Totem Pylon
A freestanding directional totem pylon was installed at a key decision point within the site, listing all major facilities and destinations within the village — including Ekopelancongan Kg. Sg. Melayu, Hentian Leluri, Pangkalan Leluri, Klinik Desa, Restoran Sri Pantai, Sekolah Agama, Sekolah Kebangsaan, and Masjid Al-Qudus. The pylon uses the site’s signature dark brown panel with gold text and white directional chevrons, with a vertical side column carrying the welcome text and village name in a complementary format. This type of consolidated directional pylon is standard for developments with multiple facilities across a spread-out site, allowing visitors to orient themselves at a single point rather than searching for individual facility signs.

Site Map Panel — PETA / MAP
A large-format site map panel was installed at the visitor arrival point, displaying the complete layout of Kampung Sungai Melayu with a full legend identifying all key locations — from the jetty and car park to the masjid, schools, heritage homes, and recreational areas. The panel uses a muted green illustrated map style with the MBIP crest, bilingual labelling, and a north compass indicator. Panels of this type are standard specification for government and municipal recreational developments, and A&T produces them in-house using UV-printed aluminium composite panel construction for outdoor durability.

Retail Shop Fascia — Leluri Mart
The Leluri Mart convenience store within the development received a complete frontlit fascia signboard — “KEDAI SERBANEKA LELURI MART” — in the brand’s mauve and white colour scheme, integrated flush with the shopfront. An external circular pictogram sign on a bracket arm provides additional visual identification from the approach path, consistent with the wayfinding icon system used throughout the site. This combination of a primary fascia sign and a secondary projecting icon marker is a practical solution for retail units within a larger development where the shopfront may not be directly visible from the main circulation route.

Round Projecting Sign — The Johor Collection
A circular blade sign for The Johor Collection visitor centre was mounted on a bracket arm at the entrance, displaying the brand’s logo mark on a white circular face with a gold border ring. Round projecting signs of this style are well suited to heritage or boutique developments where a traditional inn or shophouse-style sign profile is preferred over a standard rectangular fascia board — they project at 90 degrees to the building face, making them readable from along the approach path rather than only from directly in front.

Indoor 3D Wall Lettering — The Johor Collection
Inside the visitor centre, full-colour 3D acrylic lettering for “THE JOHOR COLLECTION” — including the brand’s flag graphic element — was mounted on the interior feature wall above the reception area. The letters are produced in the brand’s royal blue with the red-and-blue flag logo detail reproduced accurately at three-dimensional scale. This type of interior brand wall serves as the primary brand expression point inside the facility and is the most photographed element of most visitor-facing spaces.

Counter Identification Panel — Stainless Steel with Etching
A stainless steel identification panel was produced for the payment counter, displaying “KAUNTER PEMBAYARAN / PAYMENT COUNTER” in bilingual format with an etched divider line between the Bahasa Malaysia and English text. The panel uses a brushed stainless finish with a rounded lower profile, mounted directly onto the counter fascia. Etched stainless steel panels are the preferred choice for counter and room identification in government facilities — durable, tamper-resistant, and consistent with the premium material specification of the visitor centre interior.

Regulatory Notice Boards — Jabatan Landskap
Multiple Jabatan Landskap “Sila Ambil Perhatian” regulatory notice boards were produced and installed across the site — at the landscaped park area and at the waterfront deck. Both boards carry the MBIP crest, the full set of park usage rules with pictogram icons, penalty clauses, and a QR code. The larger waterfront board is mounted on a freestanding twin-post frame; the park-area board uses a single post. Both are produced in the site’s signature brown with white text and graphics, maintaining visual consistency with the rest of the wayfinding system across the development.

Toilet Signs & No Smoking Notices
Site-wide facility signs were produced to match the development’s colour palette — toilet identification plaques in the site’s brown finish with white icon graphics, and “Dilarang Merokok” no smoking notices mounted on structural columns throughout the covered walkway areas. The no smoking panels include a QR code linking to the national quit smoking programme, in compliance with current Ministry of Health requirements for public facilities.
